About Me

Hi! My name is Roza Aman, and I am an associate licensed mental health therapist with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Washington State University and a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling degree from Seattle University. As a first-generation therapist and woman of color who speaks multiple languages, I am dedicated to providing a safe and inclusive space for all individuals to explore their personal journeys.

I am also a Level 1 & 2 Gottman trained couple's therapist, and in my mental health practice, I specialize in working with first-generation immigrants, couples, individuals, and teens 16+, as well as those affected by systemic oppression. My approach to therapy centers around the belief that therapy is a space for self-discovery, growth, and healing. I strive to create an environment where clients can explore the different ways they define themselves and face the challenges they have experienced in a supportive and non-judgmental way.

As a Muslim Black woman, I believe that the characteristics you hold are an essential part of your journey in shaping the person you are today and the person you aspire to be. My ultimate goal is to provide a safe and compassionate space for my clients to gain a better understanding of themselves, their experiences, and how those experiences have shaped them.

In my free time, I enjoy spending quality time with my family, friends, and my beloved tuxedo cat. I also have a passion for exploring new cultures through traveling and trying new cuisines. When I am not in the office, you might find me experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen or venturing out for a hike in nature. These hobbies not only provide me with a sense of balance but also remind me of the importance of self-care and enjoying life outside of work.
